The Romanian ARO SUV may finally come to market. Crosslander, the American company importing the Ford powered low price SUV got a waiver for the airbag requirement.

This tough looking SUV is powered by a Ford 4.0 V6 from the Ranger/Mustang and was supposed to be priced under $20,000. Styling is a blatant copy of Land Rovers of long gone days.

Sounds interesting. I would like to see one close up.
I've seen it on the road, several years ago, and it looks like an old Land Rover. I'm sure it's not going to be very cushy, but for the price it would be worth looking at.
