Blue Oval, Aussie style, thanks to Ben K

Part of an article in an Australian auto magazine AutoSpeed, on a modified Ford Teritory.
Proof that this is one cool Crossover wagon!

Just to remind my American readers, 450 kw = 600 hp, the conversion is roughly 1.34 hp to 1 Kw. So I don't want to hear about any brand X vehicles with more horsepower. This thing can do the 1/4 mile in 11 seconds.

Just for the record, the Teritory comes from the factory with a 4.0 I6 that makes 180 Kw or about 240 hp. The engine in this tuner version is from the XR6 Turbo, which I've posted on in the past. For more info on the XR6 and XR8 go to Ford's Australian site ( www.ford.com.au )and then FPV ( twww.fpv.com.au ) their version of SVT. Why is it that the Aussie I6 is more powerful than any V6 Ford sells here?

Here's another thought, this Crossover SUV has the Control Blade IRS setup. If that can handle all that horsepower, why can't the SVT Shelby Cobra GT500 have an IRS? The entire Falcon/Fairlane/LTD/Teritory range of vehicles including Utes are built off a common rear wheel drive chassis that should have come to the US several years ago. With this family of cars, Ford could compete with everyone from BMW and Mercedes to Chevy and Chrysler, and left Lexus, Acura and Infinity wondering what happened.
