While we wait for the elusive rotary powered Mustang, let's take a look at what a rotary is and who invented it;

This is a Wankel rotary internal combusiton engine invented by Felix Wankel.
First used in a mass produced automobile by German automaker NSU, which was bought by Volkswagen. And later improved and used extensively by Mazda. I am onto some fresh leads provided by members of the Auto Blogsphere about the elusive Mustang rotary prototype and hope to have something before I go to Carlisle next week.

check out this post on a forum and see that I'm not insane; http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-6230-0.html?forumID=9&threadID=169792&messageID=1730709

Maybe a little obsessed, but not insane.
