Drive there, race, drive home.
My Mustang at the end of a day of racing at Englishtown. I may not have had many trophies, but good times were had, and the car was so dependable that I would drive down, race and then drive home and averaged 25 mpg on the highway.
Tommy O , you are too much. I always smile when I see one of your comments. But correct me if I'm wrong, weren't you a Mopar guy for a few years? I recall you driving a couple of cool cars that weren't Ford. But at least you were never a Chevy guy like some people I know :)
For the record, I drove many different cars over the last 25 years. Whenever I had a preference, I chose a Ford product, however sometimes money necessitated straying from the blue oval. There is no excuse for that Mopar/Maxda lover. Are you sure he's related?
1973 dodge charger, 1987 dodge charger ,mercedes ml , volvo wagons, chevy impala ( forgot that one Ford fan) pontiac grand prix, yes you have 2 mustangs and yes a very cool f 250 with gobs of tourqe.
The Magnum will blow the doors off both of your mustangs 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile. and with a ladder 2x4's and amp... you get the point. the fact is no other american car under 50 large offers anything like the Magnum/300c/charger.
speaking of aren't you even wondering if there isn't a lil Mopar still in your blood. 2006 Dodge Charger SRT under 40k , 425 hp and yes it will handle ( unlike my Magnum )
Tommy please drive one of these things, the power is sureal, the ride firm /luxury. I only wish Ford had gotten the marauder right. and it doesn't look great for rear wheel drive platforms in the us Ford future. the replacement for the LS will be front / awd the crown vic is no serious competition for the Daimler chrysler LX platform. just north of 30K and you have all the electronic traction and stability control , Mercedes derived rear link suspension, mercedes 5 spd auto stick, 340hp 390 lb ft . only cadilac srx is even close in content and for the diffrence in price I could buy a mustang V6 .
Midnight and Tommy are both my brothers for anyone who hadn't figured that out. You guys are nuts. But for the record Tom is the only one in the family who has owned as many Ford products as I have. And even I have strayed from the blue oval over the years.
Now Midnight, don't come on this nice Ford forum and start praising a Dodge, that's poor taste :)
But to argue the point, Ford is considering a rear wheel drive platform that will chalenge the LX platform. There is an earlier post of mine with pictures of the 427 and Lincoln concepts.
Also, Chrysler is rumored to be bringing a 2 door Charger to market and naming it the Chalenger. This to get some crumbs from the Mustang table. They hope to sell 60,000 units a year as oposed to Ford's 190,000 Mustangs.
So Bite Me Mopar, Chevy, Pontiac. Ford Rules !!!!!!!!

I am a 44 year old man from suburban New York who started this blog after repeated e-mails to Ford over the years went unanswered. I'm not a crank, I love Ford. I just think they can do better and want to put in my two cents myforddreams@aol.com
