Capri Perana with V-8 power, by Basil Green the South African Carrol Shelby

South African Gunston Racing tore up the tracks with their Perana. Look at the rear wheels, 14 inches wide.

Basil Green could be called the Carrol Shelby of South Africa. He modified different cars over the years, but two of his most sucessful were this V-8 powered Capri and a V-6 powered Cortina.
Production was low, but they were sold through his Ford Dealership and could be serviced at any Ford dealer under warranty. Check out the link above.
