Why does everyone but the North Americans get a 4 door Ranger/Courier?
Again, go to Ford's own website and check out the commercial vehicle section. Everywhere but the North American markets (US and Canada) Ford sells a 4 door version of the Ranger/Courier. If you remember before Ford made the US Ranger, they sold a rebadged Mazda Sundowner or B-series pickup as the Ford Courier, well in some markets they did not change the name to Ranger. As most Ford fans know the new Mazda trucks for the last few years have been rebadged Ford Rangers. While Chevy, GMC, Dodge, Toyota and Nissan have been selling 4 door "Mini" trucks for years now, Ford has only offered the Ford Explorer Sport Trac, which is a fine truck, but not a real competitive unit. Another question I have is why does Ford offer a 2.5 L Diesel engine in every market but North America? Again check Ford's own websites for pictures and specs on these outstanding versions of our favorite small truck.
