in the 70's you could buy this in select Linoln-Mercury dealerships, but Ford ended that relationship because of smog rules. An Italian supercar, with Ford V-8 power. These were sold in the US from the mid 1972 until 1996. Later versions added the GTS badge and wings and fender flares. All were Ford V-8 powered. Ford sold about 5,000 through it's dealer network, and an additional 7,000 or so were built for a total of near 12,000 over 24 years.
