Some Fords from UK and Germany
1972 Ford Cortina UK
Ford has been a "Global company almost from the begining, building local plants and models suited to each country. Some were exported to North America, some were not. Take a look at the Taunus below, I beleive for a period of time it was offered with a V-4, yes that's not a typo, a Vee Four. Not only that, but when Saab started building cars, one of their early models used this engine. I think it was called the Saab 96.
