The Lincoln Versailes
Lincoln Versailles 1977 to 1980 to compet with Cadilac's Seville, Lincoln modified the Granada/Monarch and improved a good car into a great car. But poor sales killed this car.
I was lucky enough to find a fair condition Versailles that was being sold by a retired Ford Executive. With a 351M, C-5 automatic, 9" posi and 4 wheel disc brakes, it was a capable and comfortable car. The leather was butter soft and the ride comfortable. This is one of those cars I almost regret selling. Mine was white with a saddle interior.
