Anyone who compares the handling of a Mazda Protege 5 with and automatic to a BMW 3 series doesn't have a clue what they are talking about. The Mazda might be a nice little car for the money, but does not come close to competing with one of the most balanced handling cars in it's class in the world.

OK Guys, this is not your private spat forum, it's my site to discuss anything Ford realted.

For the record, the Protoge5 is a competent handling vehicle, and while it may not be quite up to BMW standards, in it's price range it was a great value and nice car.

Big Ford Fan, It is you who is mistaken. First there was no private spat. Second the web is not yours or anyone elses, when it is in cyberspace, it is free reign. Lastly, you voiced the same sentiment as I did. Anonymous has clearly not spent any time behind the wheel of a 3 series, if they had, they would have come to the same conclusion as we did. Anyone who makes a claim like that, followed by zoom zoom zoom, is asking to be challenged. Other than that, I like your websit, although I would have to say I am not interested in the Pinto name coming back or buying a woody. That aside, great job. I will visit often.

rory, sorry I hadn't responded , just read it. But just so you know that comparison was given in Car & driver in thier First drive article. It was a reason I test drove and bought MY Protege5 in the first place.

and yes well not as refined and advanced as the BMW's Mazda does give responsive enthusiast feel for a reasonable price.
