Australia is an untapped source of power and styling for the US market. Above are three powerful Australian Fords two from Ford's FPV (the Ausie version of SVT) and the Territory from Nizpro that I posted about a few days ago.
If Ford can be this inovative in Australia, why not here?

What is the Future of Australian Fords Designs, with such a small volume how can they do it there and not here?
Good question, does anyone have any input? Ford of Australia started designing "in house" in the late 60's when Ford was going to do away with the US market Falcon. The Falcon/Fairmont/LTD range of cars, wagons and utes are the only ones locally designed and built. So I'm guessing when you only have to concentrate efforts on one range it's easier and cheaper. To be fair in the US Ford has to handle trucks as well as cars.
Ford is that innovative here, a 300hp Mustang for under $30? Sounds like a no brainer to me.
Anonymous, you're right about the Mustang, but the Australian Fords do show another side of Ford that would be very much appreciated here in the US.
Tell me you wouldn't prefer the Territory over the FreeStyle or the Falcon GT over the Crown Victoria.
The ausie Fords are very competetive cars with proven performance capabilities , besides Mustang when was the last ford sedan that was a true contender or in any way exciting. sorry the mercury merauder fell a little short.
MM
SHO Taurus had promise, as did the SVT Contour. The Marauder did fall short of the mark.
I guess we'll have to wait and see how the SVT Fusion does.
