
This could be the final nail in the US manufacturing coffin. The real question is how does this benefit the US?
If this legislation passes, get ready for a flood of cheap Thai trucks and massive layoffs around the country.

Uh, if Ford continues to let the Ranger languish with decades old technology and no real upgrades, YES, it could be the death of Ford's compact pickup.
Who cares? Buy a real truck, a Super Duty or even a 150 and see what having a truck is really about.
You're missing the point of the post. It's not really about compact trucks, it's about a possible end run around tarrifs by the Japanese and a flood of low priced cars and trucks from Thailand. Not to mention the possible loss of jobs here, when the manufactureres stop building those trucks here and import them.
