Bob, thanks for posting. I'm torn emotionally I want a V-8, but it all comes down to economics. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but the Pony Mustang with V-6 will come in under $23,000 and the GT will come in closer to $28,000, that's about $5,000 difference.
I also love the look of the new Pony package grill. Plus witht that package comes 4 wheel disc brakes (ABS), 17 inch wheels and tires. The only thing missing is the V-8.
I won't be able to buy until September if all goes well and will wait to see what kind of deal I can work out. If I can get one of the X-plan PINs maybe I can go the extra mile for the V-8 and then buy the grille later.

I am a 44 year old man from suburban New York who started this blog after repeated e-mails to Ford over the years went unanswered. I'm not a crank, I love Ford. I just think they can do better and want to put in my two cents myforddreams@aol.com

Well, I like to think myself as a green, environmental hippie type -- I'd still get the V-8 unless it was be used a daily commuter.
$25k V-8 Mustang? A decent looking and decently built Mustang at that.
Joe, get the 'stang and come down to Brooklyn and let's go crusing!
