New Ford Mondeo from Europe


New Ford Mondeo of Europe, this is the largest sedan Ford sells in Europe, after the discontinuance of the Scorpio line a few years ago. There is also an Estate version, that's Station Wagon for us Americans.

question, Is this built off the mazda 6 platform also? or is this a rear wheel platform

This is a front wheel drive platform primarily, but it is also compatible with all wheel drive. The Mondeo platform is purely European, sharing no heritage or parts with Mazda, althogh it is the platform that is the base of the Jaguar X type.

Ford does not have any plans to bring this chassis to the US as a Ford though. That's a shame too. If you want to learn more about this platform or European Fords in general, then I recommned you visit the European Ford Forums in my links.
