Pintos popular in racing
Almost from the begining in 1971 Pintos have been popping up in different forms of racing, liket this Grand Touring race car pictured and many drag racers. Pintos even compete in Mini Stock Car racing. The 2.3 L 4 cyl that became standard in Pintos in 1974 was a great engine and was the foundation of many engines to the present. Ford Ranger trucks used the 2.3L 4 with dual spark plugs until the 2.5 L replaced them.
